Sorry for the shameless gloat, but I've spent most of the day on this site, so I thought I'd share what I've purchased from reading the threads...

Soon to arrive at the door...

15 Tatuaje cigars
1 Dupont XTend lighter
1 Xikar cutter
1 Savoy humidor (along with the 300 count CIGAR FAMILY CHARITABLE FOUNDATION 2006 HUMIDOR I already ordered) (I have added something similar to tone-ny's humidor to my list though, maybe a mini!)

Very excited, especially for the cigars...

Thanks for an awesome forum...

Just be sure to plan on a humidor that's three times as big as you think you will need. Because that's how many cigars you'll end up with if you keep hanging around here so much!

Who recommended Tatuajes? They suck! I'll trade ya for a whole box of CI Legends Greycliffs, sight unseen. That's just the kind of BOTL I am. ;)

J/K, of course. Good pick on the smokes. Which ones did you order?

Gloat away my man, even the most experienced BOTL does a happy dance when purchases arrive. Looks like you started off better then most newbs, wasted no time and got a great selection of smokes and accessories. Enjoy em!

I ordered one of each sampler from Holt's (based on a recommendation here) and I ordered a HAVANA VI NOBLES 5 pack from atlantic.

Pretty exicted, Cigar Aficionado seems to rate the cigars pretty high, I've never smoked one, so I may have to move these up from the ones I imported from Cabo a few weeks ago! :whistling:

BTW, this may not be news to anyone here, but take for example a Montecristo #2 in Mexico, approximately $20 or so, don't really remember. An OpusX (you pick), approximately $50 - $60 in the same store...they pay a ton for Domincan cigars...made me feel good about the $15 I pay here...

I'll be able to hold 325 cigars soon, pretty excited...it's going to beat the tupperware I borrowed from my wife...

I need to find a place online that sells the Puck, sounds like it's the thing to have...

I see David gave you the link to Cigarmony. I'd go with more than the Puck, though. For a 300 ct, I'd get half a pound of beads and the mesh sack.

I would have to disagree with Gonz. Since I have started hanging around here, less than thirty days ago, I have had to purchase two humidors, an igloo cooler and I CANT STOP!!!!!

I see your enjoying yourself - excellent!

That's what it's all about, after all. I know I'm not the first person to mention a cooler; but, I may be able to offer the best rationale for getting one. Cigars keep MUCH better when bot repeatedly exposed to dry air when opening your storage unit(humi, cooler, tupper). If you keep your cigars in boxes in a cooler, when you open it all of your cigars are NOT exposed. Just the box(es) you are fetching from. It may not seem significant but this air exchange does have a cumulative effect. Plus a large cooler offers enough space to buy many boxes.

I know you are still exploring the many flavors and types trying to find out what you like and everyone goes through this at first. But at some point you'll find the cigars that "spin your propeller" and you'll want to buy them at box prices. This is when you may want to think "cooler". The cigars you smoke quickly won't be a problem but if you want to save and/or age cigars, keeping them in the box is the way to preserve their natural oils and flavor.

My .02
