Just an idea...but why not just all of us step in? At least the well know and/or FOGs surely can send a newbie sampler to those that want it. Why not just make it a general call to all the "experienced" that a newbie wants a sampler.

While that would be ideal, the reality is that it would result in chaos and much confusion. It's much better run when one person does it. When they are tired of doing it, then someone else can take over the reigns. This thread has been going on for some time (under these principles) and there is no reason it should stop now.

On another note, thanks for doing what you did Backslide.
