This past week was one of those where i wondered if I would make it past Tuesday. Well I did, and the weekend started out right Friday night. There was a fundraiser for Haiti friday night at the Lounge on DC's U Street. All-You-Can-Drink for a nominal donation. Well unlike most open bars, this one contained micro brews, Rogue Whiskey, Jameson and Absolute Vodka. I got two nice Chimey tasting glasses to try Brooklyn One, Chimey, Trogge, and some others. There was regualr beer too- Corona, Heineken, Blue Moon, Alagash White, etc. Fantastic event and Saturday morning was slow goings!
Saturday I finished insulating the addition on my house. Something I've been trying to do for a month now, but its all outside work and well, my helper-Woman, is not into trying to insulate in cold and windy weather. But its finally done! To celebrate, I went to the cigar store to smoke a Tat RC 184! Ever since i bought this house, I'm lucky to get to the cigar store once a week. Before, I'd go 3 times at least so now when I go, its more special then before. Watched The Hangover Sat night with the Woman and some tasty steak. Funny movie!, I have to see it again though, as i feel like there was more to that movie then i caught on the first viewing.
Today- some Church shopping, and then off to the driving range to try out my (no-longer new) clubs. A few months of rest seem to have erased all of the carriover habits from my shorter golf clubs. I was hitting them nice! My new putter was amazing too. I cannot wait until the weather gets a little warmer and dryer! Its going to be a good season. To top off today, some football and some ribs which have been sitting in the crock-pot for 5 hours so far! I hope I can get past Tuesday every week.
