Well, it has finally happened.

Snow is starting to fall as I write this. That means we are to be held in the grip of ice and cold for the next 6 months. I hate the snow. Kids love it, I hate it.

Wonder what a good cigar is for someone who is depressed?

Sorry you aren't closer Bilder, I have the perfect cigars for the snow.

Rocky Patel vintage 6x60 1992's, they are so huge it's like a bonfire attached to a stick. I've put pieces of firewood in the woodstove that were smaller.

Ahhh... you hate the snow, yet you live in Alaska? ???

Hmmm... summer is great, but it's a looooong ways away if you hate snow. I actually enjoy the snow- better than all the rain, and more fun to get out in it as well.

Besides... good grief it's just a tiny dusting! I wish we'd get that dump we had in 2002 - you know, the 27 inches in less than 24 hours?

THAT was a great snowfall winter...

Ha! Back in '69 we got 36" in 8 hrs. here in New England.

Doc.

That's why I started smoking inside... tired of freezing my ass off outside in the garage and I figure what is the point of owning your own house if you can use it the way you want.

I remember that dumping quite well.

I was just getting back into town from a week in MSP the night it started. Sure was glad I did not have to go to work the next day. Took me 4 hours just to dig out of the driveway.

The thing I hate most is driving in the stuff. We got all these freaks who forget how to drive in the snow every year and dodging them can get stressful. Although it is fun to watch some chick go screaming by at 50mph in her big honking truck just to see her climbing out of a ditch with the truck upside down a mile or so later. Four wheel drive does not mean 4 wheel stop.

The massive snowfall we had in 93-94 was pretty impressive as well.

That's pretty good! I should look it up, but I remember as a kid up here in the early 70's the snowfall was MUCH more than we have now. I remember jumping off the roof into the snow, and never got hurt- it was almost up to the level of the deck off the second story! and every year was like that for about 3 or 4...we used to tunnel thru the snow in the yard.

I was going to college at the time in Canaan NH. We were jumping out of the second floor windows of our dorm. Drunk of course. :whistling:

It seems as though this time of year bring out the worse in me as well. I saw the first snow flakes of the year yesterday, and immediately I thought to myself...sell the house, move to Florida...to hell with the hurricanes !!

I hate the snow!!

Any cigar dipped in bourbon!

Move to Alabama! Any time it snows here we get a 1/2 inch and the whole state shuts down in fright!

Its a little chilly here in Tucson today, too. 56 this morning and its only going to hit 76 today. I might have to put the windows up :(
