Well, I haven't been to active here lately. I am in the middle of a Shit Storm at work. It has resulted in threats on my life and have a police car stationed outside my house 24/7. It is amazing the crazies that are out there these days. Smoky and NorCal this should all be resolved by the time it is my turn in the passes, and I will continue to be involved. I will say this to anyone in the Union (99% are good people) that wish me harm because I am doing my job......Come on in, I have my Remington 12 gauge waiting. And thanks to the policemen that are wasting their off day to sit in front of my house.

BTW I have changed my avatar to honor one of the local union officials saluting me while I had a camera in my hand.

Hang in there, Dan and stay safe. Keep that pump or autoloader rockin' ready.

The writer seems on top of things:

"....a leagle contract..."

"...the COE position."

"...and becauses union were needed then..."

"...the Courjer-journal..."

:whistling:

Hang in there Dan and stay safe.

Hopefully this will all just be a bad memory in a few weeks

Hope all goes well, do you mind me asking what industry you work in?

I am on the transportation side of retail distribution. After the changeover I will no longer have to mess with Teamsters, thank God! (not that all Teamsters are bad, in fact some of my friends are Teamsters.)

I suspected as such, I too am in Transportation our company is in the process of a massive acquistion. The Union is making it very difficult and it has gotten to a point the Terminal Manager and Head Dispatcher have walked off due to similar situations as those you are describing. I also agree that it is individuals within the Union and not the Union as a whole who are to blame. From what I know in our situation it is the Union Rep's who are upset because they stand to loose the most, benefits and perks they enjoy as Union heads. Our company has other unionized facilities and support Union labor but this particular acquisition has been a clusterf@uck. I hope you and your family well and hope for a quick resolution, please keep us posted.
