My son was in the 109th New York Air National Guard. They fly C130's for the National Sciene Foundation in the Antartic. The sun never sets the whole time they are there (summer) and it can reach temps of -70 F, with a steady 30MPH wind.

It's not so much that it's -15f right now... it's the fact that it's been below zero every night for the last 3-4 WEEKS. Rather unusual this early in the winter.

And as far as global warming goes... all I can say is I buy a case of hair spray at Costco every week and spray them all off the back deck. I'm doing MY part for it! My goal is to have palm trees up here before I croak...
