They were chanting that all through game 5. To be honest, I don't even know what he was doing out there in an 8-1 game, especially on 2 days rest.

I think it was his day to get some throwing in so they figured it might as well be in a game they were winning by a lot as opposed to using a bullpen that was overused. Pitchers do throw in between starts. I'm sure they had him on a very low pitch count.vewyphishy said:

As for the new Washington team, if the city doen't screw up getting the new stadium built (as of a few days ago it looks like it's in the bag), the team will be here a long, long time. The Washington area has become over the last 33 years since the Senators left one of the largest and richest metropolitan areas in the country. Also MLB is also insisting on local ownership of the team, unlike the last team.
Just look at where we live Will, sixty five miles away from DC and we are considered a suburb of DC! The money and population is here to support a baseball team. The NBA Washington Bullets, as bad as they are, are well supported by fans as are the Washington Capitals hockey team.

I grew up in Lynn Mass and was a Red Sox fan from when I was a little squirt. This weekend I am visiting my 93 year old mother and we are going to watch the Red Son win tonight on tv. By the way, my Dad used to smoke cigars and she asked me to smoke in the house as Dad would have wanted.
