Damn IT folks

They are banning all sites that are filtered through a 3rd party selected category of 'tobacco' from being viewable through our work computers. CP was in that category.

Proxies, categorized as anonymizer websites were blocked as well. I wonder if I could create my own proxy through a personal domain?

FYI to anyone, I may not be able to respond much during the day.

EDIT: Copy & paste error

How about setting up a script on your home computer to grab the rss feed and copy it to online storage somewhere?

You could always RDP to your home desktop or use your cell phone but that's the easy way and hardly elegant.

They feel that tobacco is inappropriate during work hours?

Oh man!! Now you'll HAVE to get those TPS reports in by the afternoon! That sucks and blows. :( Do what Sneeds did, and punch the IT guy in the face and demand CigarPass.

Hopefully you won't get mandated therapy counseling like he did. Let us know!

The Government did the same thing but the only sites that got caught up in it was CF and the RNBs...... :)

I was eating at Panera Bread and CP was blocked. There were other cigar sites and retailers that I could get on to but not CP. I'm guessing word is spreading about Ray's girls.

I will admit that the month that CP was blocked at work was by far one of my most productive months.

I'm a high school teacher, so even our personal work stations have "Net Nanny."

No cigar sites, no gaming sites, no blog sites, no social networking sites . . . . it's for the children! Think of the children!

Yeah. The same children 'sexting' each other and downloading porn off the internet onto their cell phones. :sign:

Like the others have said, just RDP or use gotomypc. Logmein.com is a free remote desktop service.
