Old messages/PMs disappeared

Hello,

I was an active member of the site about 4 years ago. When I came back recently and looked at my profile, I was able to find all of my old posts using the "Find Posts" button. When I made my first recent post, however, only the ones I have made recently show up with the "Find Posts" button. Also, I don't have access to any of my old PMs.

I'm sure there has been some database migration, and possibly some of the PMs were lost, but it's odd that suddenly I can't find older posts that I had been able to up until the point when I posted something new. Is there a way to restore any of this?

All of this was lost during the last forum upgrade close to a year ago now. Rod warned everyone to archive old PM's before the upgrade, or they would be lost forever.

Thanks jfields, that certainly explains the loss of PMs (I suspected something like that happened).

It still doesn't explain why I could find my old forum posts from my profile up until making my first recent post.
