OpusX PerfecXion No. 2: Worth the Money

The Opus #2 is a very good cigar. With that said, I would expect you could pick them up for under $20, but not in Cali. On one of my recent trips to California, I ran out of cigars so I went to a local B&M. They had about 6 full boxes of Opus so I grabbed a couple #2s there, as they are my favorite of the bigger Opus. I think I paid around $30 for them, ouch, but damn you guys pay a lot of tobacco tax. Anyway, are they worth it? That depends on you.

Jim is an outstanding BOTL who is hooking you up.

Jim: Some of them have macadamia nuts as an fyi and some have Reese's (tm) penut butter cups involved. Basically my point is if you have an allergy to peanuts or macadamia nuts you should have your epi pen handy first.

The only allergy I have requires a dose of Naloxone, so no worries there.

Jim
And I hope you will never have to experience that again.

I've been smoking Opus for seven years. #2 is a great smoke, but I like the xXx PR better. I pay $14.-$15ea. When I am in CA I bring my own. CA prices are ridicules. Jim's the man. If he can't hook you up, I will send you a Power Ranger...

Andy

Haha Jim I was messing with you as well. Just didn't add the usual  . Enjoy the cookies!

Ben all is well :). I knew you where joking, LOL. I am still hashing (pun intended) the cookie deal out, but I think it will be a good deal for me.

What's a Power Ranger?

Why don't I just send you a couple at MSRP + shipping and let you find out for yourself. I will tell you that when these get about 5 years on them they are simply rediculous IMHO. This is just something you will have to determine by smoking them. Then maybe you can review this fine stick for us here :).

Jim

That would be great, let me know the details and we can complete the transaction.

What's a Power Ranger?

Yea, I made the mistake of buying a couple No. 4's from cigar.com.

Is there a decent online retailer that sells them at or near MSRP?

For the most part online retailers don't have them at/near MSRP, and if they do they sell very quickly. Your best bet is checking around your local shops, seeing which ones get opus shipments, and trying to catch a few when they come in.

If you like the No. 2, Go to the Siglo Lounge in Newport Beach. It is the corner of Jamboree and N. Bristol. The No. 2 is gonna cost you $25 - $26. I buy one whenever I get down to OC (4-5 times per year). Is it worth it? No, but it is a good cigar. Every now and then you have to show some flash.
