Anyone tried these from CI? That is the only place I have seen them for sale. Just curious how they compare to the Miami, or other Pepin/Eduardo stuff.

Cbid has a special on them, 18 6" x 50's for $34.99 right now.

My opinion is 18 cigars for $35 you can't go wrong. Being made by Pepin is a good start, and if I wasn't on a voluntary buying freeze for a while I'd pick these up.
 
CI had a 12 pack for 29.95 last week. So I ordered and they arrived yesterday. They look mighty tasty! I plan on smoking one tonight at my regular Friday night get together with Fuscat and Todd Mac. :thumbs:
 
I ordered 12 about three months ago and thought that they were a decent cigar. Well worth the discounted price that CI has them at, but they aren't really comparable to anything else that Pepin does. They were one dimensional, medium bodied, with some sweet spice a nice light graham cracker finish and ample smoke.

Pick some up and see what you think for this price.

It was an okay smoke. The "blizzard" we had here in KC caused me to be an hour and a half late to the local shop. So, my crappy mood and not enough time to enjoy the cigar may have conspired to make it seem worse than it is. I will let the rest sit in my humi for a while and revisit later.
 
I smoked one of these the other day. It was pretty good probably will be better with a little age. I actually got a head buzz from it but that might have been due to a lack of food...or me being a wuss.
