CP Wizard. Watch as I make this cigar disappear!
First review, be gentle with me 
I smoked this cigar on the way home from work last night. Empty stomach, iced tea to drink.
Construction was of course great, a quick draw across the nose before lighting was not striking, just a pleasant tobacco smell. I have been experiencing sinus trouble, so your mileage may vary.
I am not a big fan of box pressed cigars, but this cigar was not as flat as the 1964's that I have seen. I guess this was a belicoso, I clipped about 1/4 inch off. The cigar was about 5 1/2 in length, say 46 ring (hard to say with the box press).
Prelight draw was nice, sort of sweet, maybe a bit of anise flavor in there.
The cigar started off very strong, almost too strong. As noted above I had not eaten anything since lunch, so that may have contributed to that feeling :blush:
However, it smoothed out nicely about 2 inches in and shaped up to be a pleasureable experience. I would give it a 4.75 out of 5 stars.
The burn was flawless, nice ash, kind of grey. The ash fell level with the foot.
I am not one that can really describe any tastes (leather, coffee etc) in the smoke, sometimes a cigar tastes "earthy" like a RP Sungrown or Bahia 1994 Maduro or "green" like every Macanudo I have tried, or "peppery" like an Opus. This did not fall into any of those desriptions. It either is good, or it is bad. This was good.
I had to ask about this cigar at the tobacconist, he does not put them out for display. This cigar was $19.
