Took a trip to the cigar lounge today and decided to purchase the Padron 1964 due to several suggestions on here. Thanks to all of you that suggested that stick to me. By far the best stick I have had so far. I went with the maduro since out of the cigars I had already, my favorites had been the maduros. I am probably going to try the 1926, but it will take a little longer because I don't want to spend that much on a cigar until I have developed my pallette a little better. Once again thanks for the great suggestion, and I will definately be having more of the 1964's down the line.

Do you remember which vitola it was? My favorite in the '64 line is the Exclusivo.

IMO the '26's are worth the money.

I'm an avowed Padron whore but I'll provide the counterpoint. I don't think the Serie 1926 are worth it for me. The substantial bump in price for the different profile tips the value equation to the "keep a few on hand for special occasion" side of things. The 1000's line and the Annis I stock by the box, but the 1926 are on hand only as singles.

Good point Wilkey. I should have been more specific. For me, the #2 and #35 from the '26 series are worth the money. The rest are very good, but I'd pull a '64 first in any other vitola other than what I mentioned.

If you can appreciate the 64 then I think you have the palate to appreciate the 26. I say give one a go and see.

I am sure that I could appreciate the 1926, after trying the 64, but I would like to refine my pallette to be sure to appreciate the 26 in the way that I hear it truly deserves. And after this weekend trip to the cigar lounge the wallet is saying to wait a while on the 26. But I got a several others that aren't near as pricey to keep me occupied for a while. The 64 was a little more than I wanted to spend right now per stick, but everyone raved so much about them that I had to try one. and as I already said it was WELL worth it, but I want to finish up the rest of what I just bought first. My closest cigar shop is 1.5 hours from home so i have to make my trips count.
