Try using those key words in the seach function in the upper middle right. Put it in between quotation marks, and it works much better.

A small number of these were made available at the Outlaw Cigar Co. in Kansas City during this summer's Padron Event and I was luck enough to smoke two. I still have a few stashed deep in my humidor.
The story we were told is that Padron has samples of tobacco of various vintages stashed away in quantities that are nowhere near large enough to make even a limited release cigars with. Instead, they make a Private Stock (Family Blend) that they keep for themselves and for use as gifts and for special events.
The particulars of the cigars made available at the Outlaw:
- torpedos about the size of a 1964 torp
- banded with the Padron serial number band but no Series band
- rolled with 10 year aged tobacco
- somewhat similar in flavor to the 80th maduro but with a slower start, a deeper, richer, more nuanced flavor, and a comparatively longer, more wonderous finish.
- I can tell you that the ones I have left are simply not for sale and never will be. I feel incredibly lucky to have been able to get even one, much less several, and I plan to smoke them on occaisions that deserve such a cigar. The next one I'll smoke will be after the birth of my son sometime in the next four weeks or so
I would rate these as the finest Padron I have ever had and among the very best cigars I have ever smoked, from any maker, in my life. How much of that opinion stems from the knowledge that it was a possibly once-in-a-lifetime cigar enjoyed in the company of a number of other fellas who could appreciate a top notch smoke I don't know. I do know that I smoked a astounding array of outstanding cigars that weekend (Padron 80th Mad, Padron 40th Mad, Padron No. 1 handed to me by Jorge Padron, Feunte 30th Anniversario, and several LFD's to name a few) and the Family Blend was clearly the best of the bunch.

According to the item description in the current auction, a box "retails" for $1600, however I don't think you'll ever find a box for sale at any store. I quit bidding at $1800 and it will probably go higher than the $2000 it's currently at. But I'm not sure this is the same cigar you are asking about.

I smoked two of these, one a week after arriving, the other about 3 weeks.
I guess this is when the subjective issue comes into play. They did nothing for me, honestly.
If I had not sampled them and then read Tim and Jim's comments, I would be searching like crazy.

Yup, Brian, that's the truth. I have friends that love Davidoffs but I personally don't favor them. I have others that dislike Illusiones but I think they are excellent. All praise variety!
As I've said many times before, if I ever discover a $1 cigar that knocks my socks off I'll be happy as hell and have significantly more disposable income to boot :laugh:
