Not sure if these were the "seasonal/anniversary" blend or not. They have a white, red and gold band wi Cifuentes across the top and Partagas below. Picked up 4 of these, 2 Robustos and 2 corona gorda for 7.95 and 6.95 respectively.

Dark, dry and rumpled maduro wrapper, with lots of wrinkles. Prelight draw nothing exceptional, aroma very pungent. Uneven burn after the 1st 1/2 inch (which is where I had to stop smoking, so don't know if it will even out with a touch up). Pronounced softness in the barrel after that length of burn. Very firm draw initially, loosened up along with the softness, I presume.

Flavor predominantly woody, some spice(iness), good solid tobacco flavor.

Unfortunately, nothing exceptional and, IMHO, NOT worth 7-8 bucks per stick. A solid, decent smoke, nothing you'd pitch after a couple of puffs, but definitely not on my box list.

Maybe an 86.

I would not give up on them yet. I've picked up two boxes of octobre. Excellent flavor, nice draw, very good burn and a nice oily leaf.
All of the Patagas I have tried have been very good smokes.

pm me your addy, I'll send you a couple.
