Growing too fast.
What an interesting little smoke, the Partagas Demi Tip. I thought it unusual to see a plastic tip on a Cuban cigar, however I liked it nonetheless. The tip was quite sturdy and attached well with the wrapper very coarse and a bit spongy. The draw through the tip was perfect and had a strange taste which I attributed to the plastic.
I lit the foot and let me tell you, one only need take a tiny sip from the tip! This was a powerhouse of a smoke! It definitely had the traditional profile of Partagas with vanilla, wood, citrus zest, and black pepper spice. I was amazed at the amount of smoke that was absolutely pouring from this cigar.
The burn was perfect with a dark gray ash and at the halfway mark (which didn’t take long at all to reach) the pepper spice died down a good bit and the smoke became very smooth with a nice, clean finish. My wife stepped out and immediately said it smelled just like I was smoking weed. With the head rush I was getting from the power, I might as well have been.
This was an awesome little cigar, and I thoroughly enjoyed the tip as it really concentrated the smoke, and when I say concentrated I mean really concentrated. Big surprises definitely come in small packages!
