So I was able to score a box of these(cost a damn arm and leg) and was wondering if anyone has had one in awhile?

I did some searches on several boards and most seem to think they are excellent cigars. I love all the Partagas I have had so far, so I couldn't resist these. Any info or thoughts would be appreciated.

You scored yourself some real dandies. I'm not much of a Partagas fan at all but these are some of the best cigars I've ever had. I'll savor each and every one of the very few that I have left. Be sure and enjoy these on a full stomach as they are real a$$ kickers.

The server is stuttering - well, from my end!

These cigars are smoking extremely well........Earthy and very complex........Very strong...... Believe it or not these cigars back in 2000 went for $129 a box in Cuba.......

I heartily agree on the earthy aspect. I just smoked one recently and it was like a mouthful of dirt. However, it was just not as strong as I expected it to be. It certainly does not taste like any current production Partagás. Very unusual by the standards of "regular" cigars.

Yes Wilkey they are way different than the PSD4 or the PS2..........Dirt is right on  Though I have had many custom rolled puros that taste even dirtier than this one.......It does have a slightly sweet taste as well.......

Well, I hope YOU enjoy the cigars young after spending so much.

I'm going to wait a couple of weeks till it gets warmer and then I'll do a review. These smell absolutely incredible!!

Had a chance to smoke one of these tonight. So far an inch through and it's definitely earthy with a touch of eucalyptus. Draw is kinda tight. Drinking a Founders Red's Rye Pale Ale with it. Best beer on the planet.

Really opened up in the second half, especially after I clip a sliver off the top. Pretty bold last quarter through.

Great smoke!

The ones I've had the chance to try have been hit or miss.. Sometimes they're awesome, sometime's they've been flat with very mute flavors (smoked them within a month of eachother).. I got a couple of these left, hopefully your luck is better than mine

Agree with chenvt. I had one earlier this month that was totally mediocre. Would have been great for like, $7

Several years ago, I sold the better part of a box of the Party Piramides based on what I had originally paid for them at release (reasonable). For years, I kept hoping that they would develop more balance, but every time I smoked one, it was rustic to an extreme and not at all a pleasant cigar. They were snapped up immediately and I was happy to have money to spend on cigars I'd enjoy.

Same here. I've smoked 5 of these and 1 was so plugged it was unsmokable, another was tight and rather ordinary, but the other three were truly sublime. I have a real issue with ISOM quality control and lately I have been steering clear of them.
