Passing on your cigars

Good post Andy. I guess I'd never thought about it, Linda is pretty well versed on which are rockets and which are premiums, not that she'd know the value, however I have an Excel file with every cigar I have, the wrapper, binder, filler(s), ring, length, where obtained, value and quantity. Each one is numbered either on the cello or by blank band so she could tell which is which. Now I guess we just need to talk so she knows how to disperse them.

Excellent post - just shows what your priorities are Andy :D

MY wife loves the smell of cigars, she often knows what I'm smoking.
Seeing as my body is going to be cremated, it may be a good idea to
throw my collection in with me to get a nice aroma.

Wife and I have talked about it already. My collection goes to Smitty and

Maybe that is why I will never have a really valuable collection, my wife might have me knocked off, just so she can sell them, or give them to her boyfriends. :(

Just so everyone knows, Benjiev was the first one to post this, and his idea got me thinking. And then that thread was locked so I just thought it would be worthwhile to continue this discussion elsewhere.

You know better than to do this...on a FRIDAY!

Having faced this question 2 years ago when I was diagnosed with Cancer and was told I had less than 5 years to live. I came up with a plan. Of course it also entails with smoking everything thing I have the best of.

But on a lighter note. I'm to be cremated and then flown to Scotland to have my ashes laid to rest. My brother is supposed to do this while drinking a fine ass bottle of Scotch and smoking one hell of a isom. As for what happens to my sticks as my family knows jack shit about them, lucky OpusXKC and Smokyballs.

I would say who they're supposed to go to, but I'm worried that he might have me killed and keep them all for himself. This is why I plan on injecting my cigars with posion before I die.

I have left instructions to my wife to call all you guys to come to my funeral and pass out the cigars. She will tell the funeral director it is a part of an ancient religious ritual for the soul to go onto the next world that all present smoke a cigar. We will do this in NYC so we can screw with Bloomberg!!!

I think the reponses given depend on how serious of a collection one has.

I put what I wanted to happen with my cigars in my will years ago. When I told my lawyer what I wanted to do I saw his eyes light up.... seems he's a cigar aficianado himself. We have become good friends and I pay for any lawyering business I need with cigars. You'd be surprised how much a box of Monte 2's cover. :)

Mine go to Devin Cole to do with as he sees fit. I'm down to next to nothing, so I'm sure what he'll see fit is to laugh at my measly portions and let the dogs play with them.......

let the dogs play with them.......

The Pit Bull and Pugs will have a blast...:D

LOL, knowing Matt, his "measly portions" will be cigars most will never have a chance to smoke. Those will be some lucky dogs.

Thank you Gonz, but it wasn't really necessary.

Funny thing I was actually gifted 3 boxes of cigars from a relative who's brother did pass away a year ago. They held onto the cigars becuase they didn't know what to do with them and nobody in the family really wanted to throw them away since it was one his passions.

So I say this is a great argument for smokin em while you got em LOL. Aging cigars is overated!

I do like the suggestion about having one big wake with all the booze in the cubbard and as many of the cigars anyone chooses to light up.

So Matt does that mean your collection now only takes up one room in the house... ROTFLMAO
