LOL..... everyone will be talking about it for months.

Perfect setup for the movie release. :D

Damn this sucks!!!! I haven't missed an episode until tonight!!! I am at the beach with no HBO!!!! my streaming site I planned on using crapped out after Tony was in the car with the agent.......I am dying to know what happened......got it Tivoed at home.....

I think the point with the ending was effectively to show two sort of contrasting aspects of the show. That the Sopranos are at the end of the day 'normal' Americas (title was Made in America), for example Meadow repeatadly failing to parallel park like we see happen every day, showing all the normal people coming into the diner going about their business. And in contrast, we get a feel for the paranoia Tony must experience, never knowing if the next guy through the door is going to open fire, arrest him, be a friend or be nobody at all. I dunno how I feel about the ending but that is my take on the last scene at least.

As I stated in another thread, after I realized my TV wasn't broken I actually started to cry. Odd reaction for a grown man but I think that was a reaction Chase was going for.... The big black silent emotional crash.

I think Phil hit it right on the head the way he explained the ending. It definitely ended very with an unusual twist to a 7 year series though......... :)

An ending that NOBODY expected........ perfect in my book.

If you didn't change your mind at least 4 or 5 times during the show as to how it was going to end then you weren't watching the same show as I. I also agree with the ending putting you in Tony's shoes. You had to be dead not to feel it everytime someone walked by or came in the door at the end. Brilliant!

I have yet to watch a single episode. I got HBO turned on so I could watch Band of Brothers, then turned it off. Would you all buy the series on DVD?

Bruce - tough call - some of the episodes were great - however some were just ok. Although I enjoyed last nights show, I thought the show the week before was better. My favorite one goes back a few years when they try to kill the Russian guy and get stuck in the woods. A true classic. Paulie and Chris at their best.

I agree it was a genius ending. I can't imagine something that was somewhat expected to cause this kind of frenzy. People at work, every forum I frequent, radio shows etc, are all talking about it. Besides, its funny to think of all of us simultaneously jumping out of our seats and screaming "WHAT THE F*CK" when the screen went black. Great writing.

That's what NetFlix is for. You can watch them and buy the ones you really want to see again......

Exacly!!

Did it with Sopranos. Did it with Sex and the City. Doing it with 24 now.

It's a great way to watch a series that has any level of continuity to it. My sched just doesn't allow me to try and keep up for weeks on end.
