I need a little feed back from the board.

if you had to choose from these two sizes which would you choose and why.

petit robusto 4 x 50

epicure #1 5 5/8 x 46

thanks in advance for your opinions.

I would pick the epicure #1. I happen to prefer the corona gorda to the petit robusto.

Epi1-corona gorda

1. longer length allows for a less rushed delivery of the goods
2. the proportions make it easier to hold and more aesthetically pleasing
3. longer length allows for more "cool" smoking length
4. longer length allows for more complex transitions
5. the 46 rg allows for sufficiently complex blends

If you are comparing these two sizes, it's one thing. If you are comparing the two cigars cited as examples, that's another. These two are quite different smokes.

Thanks Wilkey.

Yes, and the petit robusto just doesn't do it for me.

The Epi 1 is one of the better Cuban corona gordas. They are a nice medium strength cigar with a very complex flavor profile. They always have a place in my Cuban rotation.

the petit robusto it is cold in winter and i like larger ring gauge.

Not so much a preference...the petit robusto would be smoked in about 20 mins less, it's a nice cigar for driving or whenever time is tight (which is often).

A robusto vs corona gorda are more comparable.

I'm not comparing the two, I am trying to get some feed back on which size most people prefer.

I thought you were trying to decide which HDM box to purchase. My choice would be the epi 1, but if I only had 30-40 mins to smoke nothing wrong with the petit robusto.

I'd have to go with the Epi#1 as well unless time was tight. The smaller ring gauge seems to be easier to hold and smoke.

that's my feeling as well. I have smoked many cigars over the years, and find that the coronas gorda is the size I most enjoy!
