Knocking them out is a useful way to relieve a "pain in the neck." However, for healing innervation is through mild pressure with either a clock / counterclock massage or fingertip percussion and separation (press gently with both thumbs, then slowly pull outward as you release pressure. )

Realistically, I wouldn't mess with this point unless you have had proper training, the risks are too great.

What a great video, When you see a guy drop into a kibadachi stance like that you have to know whats coming, or at least that there is some training there.
