My newbie opinion is that it would be a valuable addition. I would NOT
want to do anything that would detract from the cigar emphasis of
this site. A separate forum would allow those who wish to participate
to do so without bothering the cigar-only smokers. Why not ?

Next will be the Pipe passes. They do exist. My friend up the road swittched from cigars to pipes and is in all kinds of pipe passes.

I've tried a number of pipe forums, and they were all really snobbish and exclusive. You guys are much more fun, relaxed and welcoming without being any the less informative. So yeah, if a mere newbie may offer his opinion, pipe forum? Go for it. I'm there.
