Pipe Re-do

Is there anything that I need to do before I fire up my old Dr G. pipe again. It has been about 3-4 years from the last bowl it has seen and I probably did smoke those right either.

Now, I want to take it a bit more serious, should I just scrap the pipe and get a new one, maybe a different brand...

A good cleaning should be fine.

Pipe cleaners dipped in a little alcohol of your choice should do the trick.

If it smells 'musty', then try the salt and alcohol treatment. Otherwise the pipe cleaner scrubbing should work just fine.
