Poor Fuente's

My "local" B&M is...well...crap. The nearest nice shop is 45 minutes away in Louisville. So I went into the crappy B&M today for a couple low end Fuente's for my father in law, and what to my surprise did I find, but a BOX of Short Story's!

I thought to myself "Self...maybe this place is classing up!" But then I looked at a couple of them.

No mold, this guys walk in is lined with Plywood, and has cedar shelving, so not enough moisture to get mold, lol. Though I think he may have a termite or 2. But 3 of the 5 of the sticks I looked at were in piss poor shape. Wrappers weren't just cracked, but pieces of them were floating around inside the plastic wrapper. It was bad. If it hadn't been for the already destroyed wrappers, I'd have bought the box in hopes that some humi time would save them.

I'm never above rescuing a good cigar from a horrible fate! :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

Crap, how does someone like that stay in businness?? Sorry about your luck with the local Yojimbo. If your ever on the other end of the BG parkway I can show you a nice B&M with some good stock and is well maintained.

It's one of those discount ciggarette shops, that just happens to have a humi. Cigars are far from his bread and butter. But it's all I have locally.

I'll shoot ya a PM if we get that way, if nothing else I can have a look and maybe buy ya a smoke! :thumbs:


Wilkey, it's humidified, but it's not enough of a humidifier for the space. And his hygromiter is located about 1 foot from the humidifier, so while it reads 68%, it's only in THAT corner.

I'm lucky to have some good shops around here. One of them doesn't have a walk in at all. The whole store is regulated and they have a keg, a tv and some nice chairs to relax in. The other has a walk in and also some nice chairs and a couch.
