Being the idiot that I am I did not read Wilkey's post carefully enough on the "Dominican leaf to Cuba" thread and in the process made a complete ASS of myself. To Wilkey I'd like to apologize profusely. You guy's have an outstandinding community here and I don't want to disrupt that.


Wilk when you see this please pm me your snailer so that I can make this (more than) right. I thoght your last post before mine was directed at me and obviously it wasn't. Again I apologize.

That's really cool of you to do John. I'm sure that a lot of guys would have just turned and left instead of apologizing and try to make it right.

John, this speaks volumes on this forum!! Well executed and I am most humbled in reading it. I wish all BOTLs could find resolution as you have exemplified in righting a wrong by what you have written (the rest is nice too). :thumbs:

I agree with indyrob, many would have just walked away especially as you are a MFG but you did right by all!
 
Noted Andrew. Being blunt and mal-tempered (when you're in my end of the business) is my greatest shortfall. To everyone else (and mostly Wilkey) I'm sorry. I made an ASS of myself on the world wide web and Wilkey will be the beneficiary of my stupidity. Oh, and props to mr. mac who pointed out my indescretion. Go ahead mac send me your addy too. If I'm going to do it, I'll do it right.

No worries. I don't take offense easily. I assumed that it was a misunderstanding based on my imprecise language and nothing more. I'm glad we had the opportunity to clarify and start over.

For the record, I've read up on your family's achievements in the world of tobacco and in my estimation, such a depth of expertise and experience is unparalleled. Your family story as told by Angel Oliva in his autobiography in CigarMagazine was poignant and inspiring.

What a community! I am glad that I just ordered an Oliva sampler so that I can enjoy a fine Cigar made by some fine folks. Well, at least the wrapper is made by fine folks! :D

I hope that one day someone in the Cigar making business has to apologize to me for something.
