This should be a very simple thing to do folks. Use the SAME vendor for both puts and takes. That way it doesn't matter if they are the higest or the lowest price vendor. You live in a high tax state and want to use you local shop? That's fine, just use their prices for both puts AND takes. Works for those island cigars too, just click on the link at the top of the page that says Online Cigar Retailers.

That rare stick that you want but not sure of the value, ask a FOG or leave it in the pass. No I'm not a FOG, ask one of the guys that been here longer than my 2 years.

Geeze, you would think as many times as this has been said it would start to sink in. :(

BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!

Wascal, you "get it" which makes you a FOG. ;)

Seems so simple doesn't it...... ??? Good post!

I don't know if this is any help, but these were my 1-for-1 pass's guidelines (in case some of you guys missed seeing it):

Values should be with in 15%.  I know it's a little work to look up prices, but if you join you're agreeing to do so and the domestics will be done already .  My preferred order for pricing (by the box) is:

1. Atlantic Cigar
2. Cigars International
3. JR's
4. Famous

For ISOMs just use your chosen source for both the put and take.  Please don't publish your source, just the prices.

If trading vintage ISOMs, try to make both the year and current non-vintage prices match (a '99 with a non-vintage value of $8 for a '96-98 with an $8 non-vintage value).

To be fair for all parties, TRY to use the same source for each trade, though the 15% margin keeps this from being required.  If you can only find your local shop's price, just assume the online price is 70% of that.

???

Cheers,
Dixie

I'll have you know the wife said I wasn't a FOG. She said I was a COF .
