Question about Tubos & A/T

Given the option I would always select a non-tubed cigar (even though I have never had a Habanos that I paid for or while in my home country) only I have no need for a tube. I just figure why risk having a problem.

Any comments as to the impact on the aroma? Perhaps it's just me but I don't notice the typical aroma from the tubed varieties. Perhaps it's the cedar wrap causing the difference?
