R.I.P. Evil Knievel

Thats a man I never thought would go out any other way than in a blaze of glory.

Thanks for all the awesome moments while growing up watching you fly on the wings of pure adrenaline... R.I.P.

Someone you thought would out live us all, and in many ways he did.

RIP Robert

Like many kids that grew up in the early and mid '70s I had alot of Evil Knievel stuff. For several years I wore his outfit on halloween (unitl Star Wars came out) and had many toys and action figures of him. Raise your hand if you went outside and jumped trash cans on your bike after seeing something he did on Wide World of Sports. I know I did. He was a true slice of Americana and he will sorely be missed.

Cool Dude. I met him 20+ years ago- there was an accident on the highway, traffic was stopped and backed up. I walked up to see what was up and on the way back he hollered out his RV window (big ass RV towing a cycle trailer, previous to the accident - driving like a wildman) and I went over and talked with him for 10-15 minutes. I was really surprised at how down to earth he was.

R.I.P. Evel

RIP! Always thought Evel would go out in some spectacular way, i guess the universe WILL go out in a whimper.

Evel Knievel was even cooler than Steve Austin the Six Million Dollar Man. RIP E.K.

He was an original American hero.
A real one of a kind.
I grew up watching his stunts. It's hard to believe he is gone.

Evil was one of my childhood Icons, he will be missed. watch the history channel for his life story, it is quite a moving tribute. what a Legend! Goodbye Evil

I loved Evil. I never got a chance to meet him, but I did have a chance to spend a few hours with his crew cheif Bill Rundel. He told me stories that you wouldn't believe. RIP Evil you will be missed.

I used to idolize this man as a child. I had several of his toys. A motorcylce that you pulled a cord, and the cycle would go jumping over a ramp to name one.

How many of us can remember sitting glued to the TV waiting for EK to jump over Snake Canyon?

RIP EK.

Anytime EK was on the t.v., I was glued to it.
