The last two days have been record breakers in the Midwest, and we still have two more days of hurricane Ike's rain to come. After all this rain Chicagoans will start to grow gills. I can understand the coasts having a huge amount of rain, but we're in the middle of the country. Enough already! :0

Ugh, we actually NEED some rain here in the inland areas of Southern California. I'm goin' nuts! Pray to the rain gods to send me some please!! :sign:

I feel for you, Claudio. Only like Souldoggie, our problem here is too little rain.

Global warming is just effing things up something fierce. There must be some place in this country where the weather patterns are relatively unchanged.

We had 10" of rain here in Wichita on the 12th. It has been an unusually wet year in total as well.

My brother lives on the edge of the Grand Canyon, more or less. He called me last night and expressed his sympathies for our dilemna, they have a seasonally cool time right now. 90 degrees and dry. Sounds good right about now. :(

We've had record rain here in northeast Louisiana this month! Not quite as much as those in the southern part of the state. Fortunately no wind or water damage here...

Our daycare lady's house, which is right around the block at the neighborhood low spot, was completely surrounded by water. In the street the water was four foot deep. By her side door it was ankle deep. Water was coming in through her furnace. They ended up with 5 or 6 inches of water in the basement. I know other people had even worse flooding. We only had a water coming up through a floor drain that I stayed ahead off with the shop vac. I'm getting old because my back was sore this morning having to caring the shop vac full of water upstairs. I can't even imagine what the people in Houston and the coasts were going through.
