There hasn't been a pass in a while and I was thinking of starting one earlier this year but haven't gotten around to it. So, in taking a mental inventory of what is in the humi, I noticed there are quite a few robustos in there, so I thought it might be fun to start a robusto pass. In the next couple of weeks the weather will be more favorable and the pass should not be sitting in hot mail trucks as much (at least in the midwest plus it has been raining here since Sat and the drought has finally seemed to end).

Depending on when the participants are decided will decide when the pass will start. It should start either before Sept 1 or after Sept 15.

A preliminary list of cigars is below.

If you want to join send me an e-mail at lvniemann@aol.com
Please use the e-mail subject "robusto" (easier to sort that way)

The rules about replacing like quality and value apply, although it would be nice if all robustos were put back into the pass, others will be considered if no suitable replacement is available. Also, this is not a "first come, first served" pass. Qualifications required for making it into the pass are significant.

So if you would like to play send me an e-mail

email sent!

I think I am going to watch this one closely and maybe get on the next one.

I didn't think the temperature dropped in your neck of the woods until November or so!!!

Good to see you here; it's been awhile!

Naw, it actually goes from Hell to Heaven in late September. So far this year we are on average 4-5 degrees below the norm. So today it's only 104 degrees which isn't bad for August :p

I usta live in Phoenix (13 years)...stepping outside in the summer is like walking into a blast furnace even if it's a "DRY" heat...first year I moved to Florida I went all summer in my car without running A/C and no one could understand how I could do it..hell, even with the high humidity it was still 20 degrees cooler than Phoenix...and I hear they were dropping like flies this past summer...but I digress...I'd love to get involved in a pass too, haven't quite figured out exactly how it all works, so like SYMYN gonna sit this one out and watch it to learn even though I love Robustos...:(

It is good to see some interest and I can't wait to start it. I am reveiwing the emails and will try and post the participants and the pass order shortly.

Also trying to figure out something else fun to include for everyone.

Ok, the pass participants list is on the first post in the thread. The list should be finalized shortly in the pass order and the possibility exists of adding one or two more. Should be fun based on the list of players. :D
