Justin and I have a nice wager on the game but I figured we needed a place to discuss this series as it progresses.

Yes I know all of the experts pick the Phillies, and yes I know they have home ballpark advantage, but I just can't help but feel like there is something special with this Colorado team...

Go Rockies!

Top of the 7th and Rocks up 3-2, damn good game so far. Both pitchers throwing well.

Oh baby, Rocks win 4-2 and take game 1! The Rockies have won 15 of the last 16, amazing streak..

Side Note: Not nearly the slug fest I was expecting. The two closing pitchers Myers and Corpas were throwing some filth.

Not a Rockies fan but you do have to think there is something special about them this year. They are the ones that are on a hot streak.

Justin and I discussed the fact that as Phils fans we would have rather faced the Padres (Holliday STILL hasn't touched home plate, but I digress...), but this is the team we have to beat now. Yes, they are on a hot streak, but if you take away the one inning where Hamels imploded, our pitching did a fair job of keeping them in the park. The real key for the red and white today is going to be the top of the lineup. 1 through 4 yesterday didn't look too good. Here's the line on Rollins/Victorino/Utley/Howard: 0-15, 9K. That's not going to cut it. Even if Hamels had thrown a gem, you need to score more than 2 runs a game to win in the playoffs. Here's hoping the O turns it around today against this 21-year old kid (and hoping our 23-year old kid can hold his own).

Rocks looking like they will continue the streak. Bottom of the 7th up 10-4. Unreal.

I kind of hope they lose tomorrow so that it goes to game 4. I just don't want the rockies to have too much resting time, it could interupt their momentum
