Roy Scheider has passed away.

He played a helicopter pilot in some movie about a secret killer helicopter the government wanted to use as part of SWAT or something. He was a ex-Vietname chopper pilot and he still had issues. He thought he was losing his mind and had read somewhere that your sense of time was one of the first things to go..he often timed himself to make sure he was still sane.

One of his detractors in the movie, says at some point, "That guy is nuts. He measures his sanity with a stopwatch!"

The gruff boss-guy looks right at him and says, "What do you measure yours with, a dipstick?"

ha, ha, ha...one of the best movie lines ever!

That was Blue Thunder if I remember right.

Good actor, sad to see him go.

Guess heaven is gonna need a bigger boat.

RIP. Going to have to watch Jaws again today.

"Farewell and adieu to you, Spanish Ladies,
Farewell and adieu to you, ladies of Spain;
For we've received orders for to sail for ole Boston,
But we hope in a short time to see you again."

Man! I was like ten when I saw that movie for the first time.........BIG MISTAKE!!

I was scared to even go in the community pool for the longest time, and you could forget the beach. :laugh:

Same here... I was seven the first time I watched it. I didn't lay down in the bathtub for 4 years. I had to wash my hair with a cup.

I still hear that music sometimes when we go to the beach. Do you think I hang around in the deep water once I hear it? Hell no! It's back to the ankle deep water for me. :blush:
