I was never a huge wine drinker in my day. It was always either bourbon or stout and porter beers for me. However, a few years ago a fellow Marine and brother of the leaf told me I had to try this port wine he got to go with our cigars. I was like, well I'm not a huge wine drinker, but what the hell. WOW, how i never tried this before!! He had introduced me to Sandeman Tawny Port which was absolutely AMAZING!! I couldn't believe how well it paired with the cigar! It has now become such an enjoyment for me that I keep bottle on hand regularly. The sweetness and notes of this port go absolutely perfect with any medium or full body cigar! If you haven't tried it yet, you need to! It truly changed my perspective and took my cigar experience to a whole other level!

Port and cigars are an amazing pairing.

When you are ready to step up from Sandeman, try Warre's Otima 10 year-old Tawny. It's a little more expensive (about $25 for a 500 ML bottle) but it's a wonderful and widely available port.

I will definitely give it a try! Thank you so much for the recommnedation!

If anyone has any other Port recommendation please let me know I will be heading out this weekend in search of a new bottle or two.
Taylor Fladgate is my go to. I like the 20 year a lot better then the 10 year.
