Scary Day!

That'll teach you to play God on the forums!

Glad to hear everyone is OK. Grab a pocket-full of yard gars and head out to the clean-up party.

The fury of Mother Nature can be quite intimidating and scary sometimes...whether on land or sea.

Glad to hear you guys are alright....it's a story that you and your son will share for many years to come and having gone through that ordeal sure puts things into their proper perspective... ;)

BTW, if this happens again and you're swept away like Dorothy & Toto, how do we get our money back for the Fantasy Football League?

Wow Jonsey, tough storm. That's the type of crap that happens here usually from May thru early July. You wind up buying a weather radio so if you're sleeping, you are alerted and at least have a fighting chance to get to safety. Most storms don't develop to that extent, but in the spring, when a storm is coming, Hoosiers are usually a little on the nervous side. (Self Preservation Mode) Stay safe, and watch the sky.

On a side note, Allstate was surprisingly cooperative. The adjuster approved me for a new roof, roof vents, chimney cap, guttering, window screens, 120 feet of new privacy fence, a new roof and guttering on the pool house, vinyl siding that I have on either end of the house above the brick, and a new basketball goal for my son.

Glad you're ok! The weather is certainly changing...

I'm glad no one was hurt.

Mother Nature is awesome to behold - and damn scary because of it's seemingly capricious nature.

I just watched a show about the 1883 Krakatoa explosive eruption. The people nearest the 200 megaton(13,000 more powerful than Hiroshima) blast got the crap scared out of them before thousands were killed!

But being a DIRECT witness (as you guys just were) to Mo' Nature's power is humbling and sometimes lethal.

I have been away for a few days and when I read this post it made my heart jump a beat, glad you( Brian) and your son got out of the ordeal OK.

Edit for spelling mistake.
