The DLC "Secret Armory of General Knoxx" for Borderlands get released TOMORROW on the Xbox, the 25th for PC and PS3

Linky

This is something I will stay up tonight to start the download. Not like being on Alaska time means I have to stay up very late tho...

Woo hoo! Glad to see this as I've hit level 50 and am getting bored. :D

try this- throw away ALL your guns, mods and shields. Start new... using a crappy gun and shield against the higher level baddies :whistling:
I took on Mothrakk with a 120 shield and a lousy combat rifle - did like 68 damage?

Seriously tho, try moving your skill points around to see what other skills have what effect on your play. It's a lot different with a different skill try lit up. And, start fresh with a different character - I'm close to getting my siren to level 50 and playing her is way different then my soldier.

I'll be getting Gen Knoxx as soon as it's available...

Oh the addiction continues. Twice the size of Island of Dr. Ned with new weapons and level cap raised. I will be downloading tomorrow and me and my level 50 Hunter with his pet Bloodwing are going to battle. I must find eye drops again.

Don - You on XBox only?

Yes this is an addicting game. I think I played it for 6 straight hrs on Sat.

I'm up to a level 29 hunter and I got my butt kicked repeatedly last night trying to get through the final round of circle of slaughter.

Never did make it and now I'm almost broke.

I'm loving this game too. I'm really looking forward to the expansion. Should be good times. I still haven't maxed a character, so the level cap boost should come at just the right time!

L4D, now Borderlands? Dang Jim, didn't know you were such a gamer!

I have a lvl 20 Soldier and a lvl 23 Siren. Just stated on the second map this weekend. I picked this one up at just the right time to fill the gap btw finishing Dragon Age and the release of Final Fantasy XIII and DOA's first X-pac. Got a lot of good gaming coming up these next few months.

Downloading Knoxx on Xbox as I type...
The patch that you have to get first gets rid of the modded stuff so it'll be safe to play public games online again! But New Haven gun farming is history - all gun chests are now the silver type and give much lower/crappier guns!

What's that a hint?

Maybe you need to PM me instructions on how to do that. :)

Cool I have reason to come back to playing that game again. Finished bioshock2 so need something to play again.

I play on PS3

Well that sucks... farming in New Haven was like opening a box of chocolates...

Please tell me they improved the drops from bosses to make up for it.

And what patch was that Jim? So I know to turn off the auto update in steam :p

Damn! I saw this and got all excited...but then I read "tomorrow" SO NOT FAIR! Hahaha.

I'm all bored with it too...will Fallout: New Vegas just come out already?

The new area is great. The new buggy you get to drive is a beast. Foes are as tough as hell.

Ah, running the New Haven over and over and over... and over - got old after the first 4 times. Gimme something to kill - it's way more fun. And no, no real changes to the bosses that I've heard, but not tried personally. The one major complaint right now is that after you finish Knoxx, and level to 61, the original game does NOT scale up to you. So if you go back into the areas you'll walk thru the bosses and badasses like a lightsaber thru warm flesh. But the fix to that is play another character I s'ppose. But there is hope that they'll patch the rest to scale up to you. Yeah... I can see the Rakk Hive, or Skagzilla, as a lvl61! Yikes... But there is also a new UberBoss, Crawermax (or something like that) that is Lvl64 - and you can only get to 61! Saying it is damn hard to solo it - that you need 3-4 peeps at lvl61 to team up on it. But supposedly it poops out orange guns like tubgirl.

And Shawn, the patch mentioned is the one that does away with New Haven farming, but more importantly (and ABOUT TIME!!!) is they do away with modded guns. They get deleted from your character. No more one shot kills or horrible lagging due to the modded crap. Good riddance I say.I had no problem if someone wanted to use them solo, but there were NUMEROUS posts by people saying it was funny to join games, and lag the out so bad they'd crash the game. F*$%^& jerks. So joining online public games is safe again.... for now.

Me? I'm getting Knoxx on PC tomorrow (Already got it on 360) as I need something to really test out my Ogre!!!

EDIT TO ADD this patch update list

I did 1 new haven run every time I logged in, took about 5 mins tops. And since the mob dropped weapons sucked dead donkey in comparison it was necessary.

Hooray on the modded weapons.

Well, dunno about the rest of you, but loot drops seem to be much nicer for me after this patch. I went from finding junk to good stuff in everything from boss drops to skag piles. As for the New Haven farming, I never bothered with it so I really won't miss it.

yeah, all I did was start/stop my game in New Haven so when I started I ran thru them once, checked the vendors, and went on a killing spree. Loot drops seem the same for me, altho I did take out a mob and got two oranges... never gotten 2 in one spree before.
