Server Issues

Thanks Rod for getting it back up and running! I've ran a small site of my own, very small in relation to member size and amount of posts, and nothing is worse then trying to fix these things when they go down. Your hard work is appreciated! :)

Thanks for all the hard and long work Rod, my wife asked me to tell you that this can't happen again, i guess i wasn't the same man without my dose of CP.

As others have said, thank you very much for resolving this current issue and all the other work you do for this site.
I'm not sure many of us understand how much work it takes to maintain a site like this.
For many of us (myself included) CP has become an integral part of our day; reading, posting and chatting with friends (& some ass-hats).

Thanks Rod for maintaining this meeting place for us to enjoy.

Thanks Brian, I appreciate it.

If you guys think you had withdrawals, I literally did not sleep last night. Was working w/ the data center all night, and I know I'm going to be a zombie today.

Been there. I've been up for 40 hours at a time to get a mission critical server back. Funny thing is that while I'm in the thick of the repair I'm not tired, but once it's done you just start shutting down.

Not a lot of fun. Get some sleep, we'll try not to crash it.

Keith

I'm only a wee CP pup, but even I was in withdrawals (I may be a lurker, but I am here all the time nonetheless).

Hats off to Rod for working so damn hard to keep this temple of tobacco tip top.

Thanks Rob for all you do for all of us CPers. The crash did make for a lot of new people in the chat room.

Thanks for the kind comments.

Just an update, as I'm receiving a bunch of PM's from members... Any posts that were made between April 27 thru this morning will be gone. That includes PM's. I figured it was best to restore a stable database than to use one that may still contain errors.
