For some reason this touches the nerve of someone that has put their life on the line and served and to continue with the humor of the servicemen is a disgrace. I am totally offended and would like to request a stop to this. There are other boards where one can poke fun at anyone you desire but this location is not the place...and talk about post whoaring.

PS maybe if I called myself Purple Heart then some of you may get the picture. This is Forum was not intended to dis the military even if it was meant in the line of humor...it is offensive and disrespectful. Please take it else where.

Fireman Tim,

First let me say two things.

1) Sorry you were hurt serving your country
2) Thank you just as I thank everyone who has served for your call to duty.

Now that I have said that this forum just like any other forum is the place to poke fun at others in the services. I am a Marine, will always be a Marine, and will always take the chance to poke fun at the other services. Every service has their own jokes and has always been done. No one here is trying to poke fun at those who have been hurt or have given their life for their Country. This debate has already been brought up and debated here recently.

I do not agree with this being a punch at those who are purple heart veterans or those who lost their life. Not everyone likes these jokes. Just like TV & Radio, if you dont agree or dont like it dont open this thread. Fireman Tim I am not trying to disprecpect you in anyway but I too have a right to voice my opinion and will repsect yours along the way. Thanks.

Thanks for the link. Pretty nice place. Funny thing comes to mind and while I may not agree with you or Fireman Tim on whether or not this is the appropriate place. I wonder out of all CP's members how many of them are prior Military or current Military. I would guess about 70% I may be shooting high but ok. I have also spoken with Fireman Tim personally and while we may not agree on this we see and respect each others opinion on this topic. If CP says stop I will out of respect stop but if the majority says keep going then I will. Thanks for weighing in on this topic.

I'm the same with DevilsMilk. I remember the last post that offended you, because I posted it. I'm current military, I've flown comabat support missions, and I've known that since day one that once our plane takes off that could be the last mission for me. Sadam Hussen had a $1,000,000 bounty for anyone that could shoot down our plane.

If something offends you, then please don't read it. There is a warning in the subject of this post probably because of my original post. EMO'S_GRRL is correct, there are probably many posts that offend people on this board and on every board. If CP says we are to stop the Military Humor then I'll stop.

However, what do we do when the other posts start offending people?
