Both actually...Some people can be put off by the whole "trial by fire" nature we have here. To an extent there is almost a "only speak when spoke to" mentality...If someone who does not have 5000 posts calls someone on something the individual thinks is wrong..the are instantly ostracised (sp?), which forces them to fire back..and starts flame wars and totally defeats the purpose of CP.

I think conflict is best resolved in private...not out in the open where yokels like me can toss thier proverbial hat into the ring...Sometimes I almost feel bullied, because I do not want to be ostracised (sp?)by Fogs who feel that thier post count means it is there job to police out fine messageboard.

Why pussyfoot around? Since there are only 4 of us at the moment with 5000 or more posts I'm sure you can pick out the ones you want to bitch at. Post count does not make one a leader. I'll use Tone-ny as an example of one of the boards finest and he has 1,000 posts. There are many others here too that I could fill a page with. Stand your ground and prove your point or be a man about it if proven wrong. All of us have had our run-ins for one reason or another. I've even had Lee tell me I'm done and I'm still here. This picking at the sides doesn't cut it IMO.

I'm afraid you're a bit confused. If someone who has been here for quite some time is called out in public - there is and will a public tongue lashing. That should be no surprise to you or anybody else. This inference of yours of a "pecking order" doesn't add validity to your argument. Understand you have way less of a stake in this board than someone who's participated solidly for several years. It remains to be seen what impact you'll have on this board.

Clearly some are put off, including yourself, by the way the FOG's "police" the board. Ego's don't like being bruised. You have the right to fight it if your want - have at it. But just remember going into that fight that this is what CigarPass is about - and the core reason why you enjoy coming here. The senior members who have invested years in this board have done a fine job making this place respectable and honest. And those FOG's will challenge you when you express displeasure with the way this system is maintained.
