We had a 5.1 here in West Tennessee last week. I'm about 100 miles from the New Madrid fault line. :0

Glad you're okay :D . Kinda makes me miss sweet ole' So CA :( (I'm from Yucaipa - near Redlands, San Bernardino and Riverside). We lived right over the fault line (what were my parents thinkin' when they built the house there?!?) . I never really experienced a BIG quake (Thank God! Our house had HUGE sliding glass doors everywhere! :0 ) but the small ones where kind of fun sometimes  (the little yappy dogs running in circles - I HATE yappy little dogs  - sorry, all you yappy little dog lovers  !) but they could also be quite annoying as well (the earthquakes NOT the yappy little dogs - we have already established that point ;) . Anyway, hope all is well now. Preembargo says, "Hang in there!"

They were thinking "beach front property" when the big one hits and SoCal slides off into the Pacific.

Glad you're ok Rod. No damage to the humi I hope!

5.4?!?!?!?

WEENIE! My dogs don't even bother raising their heads from a nap for anything less that 5.9!

not to mention the news doesn't report them...

That's an understatement. My first trip to CA I was visiting my mother in Newhall and woke up to the Northridge quake. One of the freakiest things I have ever experienced. Gave me a whole new perspective on the word terror.

Northridge was a 6.7. My "weenie" 'bout crawled up inside me. :p

Yeah it was a small one. A nice roller.

I've been through two large quakes: Whittier Narrows (M5.8) which did a lot of damage in my area, as we sit on top of that fault. It was an up and down shaker, and not a roller. The other quake was the Northridge quake measuring a M6.7. This one was more of a roller, felt like I was surfing.

I'm hoping if we have more earthquakes it will help to push down the outrageous real estate prices. Keep these people from moving to So Cal...
