Absolutely horrible. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone at VT.
 
God this is awful. It makes my heart hurt to think of the pain and suffering that some POS caused for what will most likely turn out to be a petty issue. May God be with the lost and wounded and their families.
 
I was a grad student at VT over a year ago. Ironically, most of my classes were in Norris Hall. The screwey thing is that in order to go from West AJ to Norris, you have to cross the Drill Field, and is a 15 minute walk. How this guy didn't stick out is beyond me. The only logical reason is that this was premeditated and didn't load up on ammo/vest (alleged) until later, and simply blended in. I have talked with some of my former classmates/colleagues and none were involved.

With all due respect, are you forgetting about the events of 9/11/01? That claimed slightly more than thirty lives as I recall. While we're at it, how about the Happyland (unlicensed) Nightclub arson fire in NYC? Wasn't that about 70 victims?

No offense intended Brickhouse, I just know the mainstream media is salivating over this tragedy, and can't wait to point the blame at a certain type of inanimate mechanical device...

My deepest sympathies to the victims in Blacksburg.

With all due respect, are you forgetting about the events of 9/11/01? That claimed slightly more than thirty lives as I recall. While we're at it, how about the Happyland (unlicensed) Nightclub arson fire in NYC? Wasn't that about 70 victims?

This is a terrible tragedy if just one person was killed. This is a sad, sad day.
 
death toll up to 33 now ... this is shocking and very sickening.

May God help those families who will forever suffer the gaping hole in their lives.....

Yeah, I guess I misquoted the news....deadliest mass shooting ever. But aye, regardless, one is too many. This is sickening.
 
I know not all or really many details are out, but this is truly one of the most vial offenses. The 'I'm going to take as many people with me as possible' killings. Completely f.cked. This is terrible; all my love to the victims, the parents, and the loved ones who are made to go through this b.s.
