That my sound weird guys =)
But I have "discover" this "way" to enjoy my cigar... Yes yes I know I should just probably kick back relax and just smoke it and not really think about it.
BUT, I actually found out that I enjoy the blend of the cigar and the whole smoking experience a little better.
Here goes, I don't time the in between the puff, but it a good 30 sec to a min, allowing the cigar to cool down a bit so I don't get the harsh, spiciness or the "je ne sais quois" that masks the other flavors.
So assuming that the cigar is "cold" I take a small primer puff to get it going, quickly release it slowly and breath it back in from the nose, this allows me to "get ready" and to be introduced to the flavor of the stogie.
While this is going on I take a longer puff (more generous smoke at this point), roll it briefly in my mouth and exhale it, and occasionally breath in a little, but its primarily to get a taste from my tongue. Following this I pause for a sec and brush my tongue on my upper palette to discover the aftertaste that last a little longer then the actual taste... I usually do 2 or 3 reps (depending on how cold it is) before letting it cool back down.
So when I review or taste a cigar I break it down to its nose, taste, aftertaste.
What do you guys think? Too complicated?
