Had a mini-herf with occifer21 and he smoked one of my aged ones. I know he was enjoying it but damn 1 3/4 hours to smoke a corona with eight years on it. You should have seen the look on his face, pure nirvana. How long does it take for you to smoke a fine one? I'm more of a bull, no lollygagging here. :D

I tend to be a slow smoker. Every time I read that a certain vitola takes a certain amount of time to smoke, I add 20-30 mins.

Put me down for being a slow smoker too! There is no rush, since I treat myself to only 1 a week.

I'd say I'm a pretty quick smoker! I guess in the summertime I slow down and enjoy it a little more, but not too much!!!

I think you would call me a slow smoker, I take a puff about every 1.5 to 2 minutes. I like to smoke 2 to 3 sticks back to back, so I set aside about 3 hours each night to smoke.

I have learned to smoke more slowly because I found I get more flavor and enjoyment out of it that way. Often, I pick up flavors after letting it sit and cool that I wouldn't have noticed otherwise. Also, I've been experimenting with letting them go out and re-lighting them. ISOMs in particular.

I find myself doing both. When I am rushed by time or when I am not relaxed I smoke faster. Interestingly enough, if I get to a second cigar, that ones goes slowly. I do believe like most of the above post indicate that slow is better. You catch many nuances of the smoke, the taste, life, by enjoying it slowly. Sometimes, however, I smoke them faster than they are meant to be.

Morning, For me it depends on who is on stage and who is on the floor. Once a week I like to go down and donate a little money to the hard working Lady's at Trumps. The longer the cigar smokes, the more time I have. And the little lady is OK with it. That's a good life.

Seems as though slow is the consensus, maybe it's just me and my way of doing things, but i usually don't have time to lay back and really become one with the cigar. Guess i should slow down and look for all the nuances. :whistling:

Hey, I know what you mean by time. Like my four year old said yesterday "Life Happens".

For some reason, the corona sized cigars make me smoke slower. I usually spend an hour and a half on the corona while these massive toros and churchills take only an hour and ten minutes.

 Iknow what you mean, my eight year old grandson is starting to spout off opinions on life, and he's making sense.

Hmm never really loooked at my watch while I am smoking, kinda defeats the purpose for me. I turn my phone off and the clocks around. I tend to smoke at an average pace most of the time. It all depends on the smoke, sometime I really take my time other times I don't. I guess it varies from smoke to smoke.

I really believe most cigar smokers are the same way, depending on conditions you adjust. If a friend gifts you a cigar that you've always wanted to smoke, well you're naturally going to take your time. If you're on the golf course and going for personal best, hell i'd be puffing away!
