Snowing in NOLA!

I have never seen this much snow before. My dad has never seen this much snow on the ground in New Orleans before.

People around here are freaking out, and its awesome. I am even thinking about going outside and smoking!

I stood outside last night and smoked in the snow...just don't burn a real expensive cigar as snow smoking can take its toll on your stick..( no pun intended) :laugh:
 
Snow can make for some ugly days but when the conditions are right it is breathtaking!

I was hunting in the Allegheny National Forest for the last week and Sunday night we got a big storm, it dumped 10 inches on top of the 10 that was already there and driving the national forest roads, back to our camp from the bar where we watched the Steelers game was absolutely beautiful.
 
I'm sure the snow was beautiful....but I'm thinking the booze and the fact that the Steelers beat the Cowpokes Ass made everything just a bit more brighter ;)
 
Having lived in Baton Rouge for most of my life before moving up to Tenn, I can share your wonder. I woke up this morning to a text from my Dad about the snow.

I love it when it snows but trust me, it loses it's allure when it's -30 out and the wind is blowing 40 MPH and you realize that it hasn't gotten above zero degrees for 27 straight days!!! :laugh:
