Any speculation on what's going to happen with my Vikes?

Will Bennet and a 2nd round pick go to ARI for Boldin?

Will Ontario Smith go to MIA for Sertain?

Will the Vikes sign Plax?

Does anyone care about my Vikes? ???

I don't care at all about the Vikings, but I can tell you they're better off now that they've gotten rid of that ass-clown Moss.

Nope, don't care about your vikes. Sorry. What's this baseball thing everyone is blabbing about. Don't they know its free agency time and then the draft.

As for Surtain for Onterrio, I hope not. Surtain is a Top 5 corner. Onterrio not exactly that caliber. There hopeful speculation down here that it would be Surtain and 2nd pick in round 1 for Edgerrin and the 29th pick in round 1. Hopeful and doubtful.

Great idea starting a football thread!

I like Moss-Clown Ass a little better, not sure why.

Not too many people do care about the Vikes, cuz everyone knows that we'll never make it. We got all the players, and all the potential...

But we have the MN Curse...it's called Tice

I don't like or dislike the vikes, but since moss is going to the raiders it just adds one more idiot for their already idiot infested roster.

I'm sorry to see the Jets lose Jason Ferguson and Lamont Jordan but I do like the fact that they picked up Derrick Blaylock

The Vikings still have a team? :whistling:

Getting rid of Moss was the best thing you guys could do. I think Tice is a good fit for the team. Now that Moss is gone Tice can devote attention to the team and not the babysitting duties.

Don't really care about the vikes, to tell you the truth. I am interested in what my Steelers will do this off season. I think it is ok to lose Plax. I don't think they need any big time free agents, but I'd like to see a solid draft to add depth in the secondary, get a TE and maybe a RB.

As a Packer fan it pains me to say this, but I think the Moss trade will work out great for the Vikes. They are getting rid of a cancer, adding a good to maybe great linebacker and the 7th pick could be Williams from USC, or another good reciever, to replace Moss.

The Pack lost their 2 starting guards, so Brett may be on the ground alot more next year. We also will lose our 2 starting safetys to free agency.

I'm not saying this becuase I'm a Vikes fan...

But you Packers are facing the possibility of scraping the bottom of the division this year :whistling:

edit: My bad, I am saying that because I'm a Vikes fan

Good things will come to us Viking fans...

I was just listening to "The Huddle" on ESPN radio while driving home. They spent a lot of time discussing the Vikes. Heres a recap of the interesting stuff.

1-Plaxico really, really wants to play in MN. He wants to play with DC badly and is willing to take less from teh Purple. They said that Plax is holding off from accepting at least 2 other offers until the Vikes make a move.

2-The Vikes were very close to landing Surtain but have since backed off, they dont think he is worth the money which remains on his contract. Cap strapped Miami is desperate to unload him so they can sign Gus and Kevin Carter.

3-They said look for Mn to get aggressive real soon. The NFL finance commitee is meeting this week to go over Fowlers deal. According to ESPN, commitee members have already stated that Fowler has the cash and will be approved. ESPN also stated that as long as Fowler passes the finance commitee, the owners will approve him at their March meeting. Once the Finance commitee approves Fowler, McCombs will open up the checkbook.

4-They also stated that Travis Taylor is also very interested in being a Vike and understands that he would be a #3 or 4 Receiver.

5-As far as defensive players, the two big guys on the Vikes radar are Hartwell and Kennedy. Hartwell was supposedly waiting on a deal from the Chiefs but now the Chiefs are expected to sign Kendrell Bell as early as today (they just passed Bell on a physical after the Giants failed him on one). If Bell signs with KC, its expected that Hartwell will be coming to Minnesota (he declined a visit earlier cuz he thought he was good to go with KC).

Kenroy Kennedy is in the same boat as Hartwell. Kennedy was expected to sign with Detroit but now it looks like Detroit has landed Darius for Jax. If spurned by Det, Kennedy is supposedly going to be looking to Minnesota.
