I never had bronchitis until about 5 years ago. Now anytime I get a cold, I get chest congestion and rattling in my chest for weeks. Even after the cold symptoms are long gone, I can't clear my chest.

I tried a remedy I found on the net and it helps:
  1. One cup hot water
  2. The juice of half a lemon
  3. 2 tablespoons of honey
  4. 1 tablespoon of OVOO
  5. 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
Stir it up, drink it down.

I went through a bunch of tissues blowing my nose, and I have been able to clear my chest in a matter of 30 minutes the last two mornings.

I hope this helps someone.

I use
1 lemon and 1 orange cut into 8 sections peel on.
Small knuckle of Ginger sliced fairly thin.
Boil this in 3 cups of water in a pan for 15-30 minutes.
Strain, then add 2 table spoons of raw local honey. 1 Saint Josephs' chewable baby aspirin stir until dissolved.
I inhale the steam then drink about a quarter cup a few times a day. After it cools... just put a qtr cup in a mug zap it in the microwave until it steams then inhale the steam for a few minutes then sip it until gone. It's a little bitter from the peels, but I was told the peels add some oils to the solution that help loosen the flem in the chest. It helped me and my Mom through a few battles with colds/flu. I was given the recipe by an older neighbor. It did help us. My Mom suffered with COPD, Asthma and Bronchitis.
