Spec me some singles...

Swissy - you already on the giving end of the NST? It seems like yesterday you were on the receiving end...
...

Yeah, they'll let anyone send the newbies cigars nowadays... scary huh?
Seems like yesterday, but almost 2 years ago! :0

Quick question, I have never heard the term "Spec me some smokes" I reckon it's along the same lines a reccomend?

I would really consider taking advantage of the Newbie Sampler option. Your money will go much farther - UK taxes are pretty outrageous - and you'll be able to try a variety of Noncubans.

That said, if you're determined to buy from home, Montecristo No. 4s are a good beginner's choice. I would also try the RyJ Churchill, some of the smaller Hoyo de Monterreys and the ERDM Choix Supreme. Also worth a look would be the Cuaba, Rafael Gonzalez and H. Upmann marques.

In my opinion. Only. :)

Monte #4's are good, but I find they need quite a bit of age on them also. Possibly the only ISOM I have smoked green that tasted like a grass fire! But, with age, I love them!

Of course, just my $0.02 worth

You need and English to American dictionary or translator....

Like UM said, it is similar. Spec is like give characteristics, describe, etc, but is often used as recommend or tell about an item (to "spec" and LFD DL Chisel I might just say it's a full bodied, potent smoke with a hint of nuttiness on the light and great flavor and burn throughout.) it isn't always the same as a recommendation, but not far off either.

UM can critique my interpretation. Since I've never lived there, it is based entirely on Brit mates from my rugby days and a few spouses of friends.

Hope to go there soon though.......
