Has anyone here ever considered to create a pass ( but a return to sender sorta deal) but with moives they enjoyed? Granted, it would take a serious amount of trust to put your all time favorite movies and expect them to make it back somehow. But the idea is to put your scifi- anime- action- films in a box and allow people to share in your loves. I am a ANIME FEIND- So that would obviously be a contribution I would consider. I guess just a early morning suggestion. I am still half a sleep so don't pelt the bad cigars at me.

well you got my girlfriends attention she also is an anime fiend and would love to share some stuff with everyone.

she reads the forum with me when theres things not cigar related, she actually posted in the serenity thread started by moki.

matty you piqued her interest with the silent mobius refrence and mine with the cohiba refrence

See there is the spirit!
I have some RWH( witch hunter robin ), Some Tenchi, and some other fun stuff to share, also has anyone seen Volcano High ? NOT THE MTV VERSION but the original??

How do people feel about either VCD/SVCDs or just data discs of anime? I have several complete series on my computer, including Ayashi No Ceres (American Name: Ceres: Celestial Legend), Wolf's Rain, Trigun, FLCL, Hana Yori Dango, and a few others.

??? All subtitled on these, though. DVDs are still the standard, store-bought English Voice Track provided. (OutlawD doesn't like reading to get in the way of cartoony fun.)

anime. Umm. So these are like cartoons?? Anybody got any Warner Bros., Daffy and Bugs and company?

NA

Cartoons from Japan. I've got some American stuff, but not as much, and no Looney-Tunes style stuff. Closest I have to that is Animaniacs.

End of Day One: I've already revealed what a nerd I am.

owww my ears American Anime the blasphemy-

Which one of those series is the Japanese cartoon porn that is so popular?

Not a big anime fan myself. A "movie" pass could be fun though. I'm a big fan of movies.

It might make more sense if everyone had access to a DVD-R. Then you are only sending a $2 disc in the pass, and its no big deal.

Ooooooh nononononononononono!

I did not mean Amerime. I meant American cartoons. Just cartoons. I feel wounded for you thinking I would have Amerime on my computer!

Especially my beloved iBook. Yes, that's right. I, too, am a Mac person.

No need to be all embarassed about the Inuyasha. I, too, am a fan. I blame my college roommate and the fact that we've had this conversation at least once a month for two years. "When is InuYasha going to learn that Kagome = Kikyo?! REALLY! Look at Sango and Miroku! InuYasha could learn something from them." Only the conversations lasted anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour, depending on the boredom level.

I have some ninja scroll stuff and some other anima stuff I like movies alot normal and cartoons. saturday mornings with my son and a big bowel of ceral. You know what i am talking about...

Well- I do have to say that all the local anime fiends in my area are guys so indepth conversations about character development came few and far inbetween but, in consolation I can rant about the fight scenes like nobodies buisness!

So the question of the hour, Combo drive anyone >>>>lol<<<

My best suggestion is that there should be a gatekeeper if not, where the original is sent to copied and when sent to pass, the original goes back home :)

Well, I have a combo drive (the dvd/cdr kind) and access to a DVD burner at a friend's house. Or, this might be a good excuse to buy one. I was thinking, if I sent any of my DVDs out, I'd probably just copy them and send out the copies, that way, if there is some kind of mail catastrophe, it wouldn't mean the loss of well-loved movies.

I forgot to mention my desire to see the whole run of Full Metal Alchemist. I'm doing pretty good just catching that on Adult Swim, though. I won't even cop to what my real guilty-pleasure anime is.
