Hey Kids!

I'm back! Been gone a hell of a long time I know, but that's life these days. Anyway, where the hell can I get a good free spyware killer/blocker onilne?

I ran all three and still can't get rid of all the spyware...

Try Bazooka. Scans and explains how to get spyware out of your registry. It's at Cnet.com.

I had two viruses and a worm on my system. Got so bad that a family friend had to download spyware-killing stuff from a disk. Never heard of Bazooka, but spybot works wonderfully.

There is also another technique for blocking malicious content before it gets on your computer. There is a file in your System directory called the 'HOSTS' file. This can be used to hard-code DNS tables into a computer.

The trick is to re-direct known ad websites to the localhost. This way the ads do not load as they cannot be found.

Here are some links for more detailed information...

I'v been running Spybot and thought I was doing well. :( Downloaded Spy Sweeper just a bit ago and ran it, found 91 spyware that Spybot missed. :0 Total of 91 spyware and 272 traces. Spybot missed just a few....
