I went to a craft beer event last night in my hometown called Beervana. They have it every year and it features all craft breweries, a lot of local stuff, and a few international as well. Great event, limited to 200 people and all the 2oz pours you can handle all night.
Well, this year Dogfish Head made an appearance and wouldn't you know it, there pouring the beers himself was Sam Calagione. Awesome guy, great stories, and he also gave a seminar about the history of the brewery and what inspires him to brew the way he does, etc.
I was able to snag a few minutes of his time and a picture and needless to say, especially as a home brewer, I was a bit star struck.
Picture says it all really haha! I think he'd had a few by that point...
