Sticker Pass

I could not for the life of me find the D'Crossier, so I must have smoked it. I replaced it on my put for E.

TAKE (A)
Slot 23 - Arturo Fuente Divine Inspiration
PUT == Rojas 10th Anniversary

TAKE (B)
Slot 24 - Fratello - The Texan Toro
PUT == Tatuaje - Saints & Sinners - Mini Mummy

TAKE (C)
Slot 33 - Tatuaje PCA 2023
PUT == Oliva Serie V Special Figurado

TAKE (D)
Slot 34 - Puro Desnudo N2
PUT == Privada Customs/Tobaccos De Costa Rica - Customer Collaboration
Since most probably don't know much about this, and you can't just Google it.... They are makers of Atabey, Byron, and D'crossier. It has an Ecuador CT Shade wrap; Ecuador Habano HVA binder; filler: Peru, Esteli, and Costa Rica Especial -- likely my smoke of they year, and its not even my typical flavor profile.

TAKE (E)
Slot 49 - AVO LE05 30th Anniversary
PUT == Davidoff - Zino Platinum Scepter Series - Grand Master (can't remember when I bought it, but it has some age).

Added
Slot 59 - Tatuaje Mummy Redux

@smellysell see above for spreadsheet, and thanks again for including me! Added a Foundation Cigar and Alma del Jaguar tequila sticker (currently the fastest growing tequila brand in the country and its part of the Good Juice platform).

Doesn't matter I the grand scheme of things, so more for posterity and for anybody following along...

1. Those Zino are on Cigar Page fairly often for $20 a fiver. This makes things tricky when valuing stuff, as if you look currently they're $90, which is the cheapest you can find them currently online. This is one of many things that makes valuation tricky. Any thoughts on this from the gallery?

2. If you have to change a put after things have been approved, probably best to wait on approval again before packing up. I was out of service basically for 3 days, so can take the blame for that.

3. Passes are a group exercise, so those participating should also be offering input on P&T's

None of this is even close to a big deal, and the Tat extra put is good for the AVO anyways, just wanted to make a note for anybody that might read through this and wonder.

My apologies. Since earlier people were utilizing Neptune Cigar, I utilized it as well (below is the price I found). I can assure you I did not buy these for $5, and I believe I paid closer to $25 since I know I bought it at a nearby B&M in Massachusetts.

You're all good man. No concerns in the slightest. Just a good example of how pricing gets tricky.

It does get tricky indeed, especially with CigarPage and some of their repeating crazy deals.

I've seen Rojas 10th Anniversary, Montecristo 1935 Anniversary, Montecristo Espada, EPC La Historia and Pledge, Warped GR88, and others for under $5 (under $4 in some cases). These are all $10+ everywhere else I've looked, and most are about that price on CigarPage when not on sale, but if you catch them on the right discount they can be stupidly cheap.

I don't have an answer for how to deal with it, really. I don't think that a one-time sale price establishes a new "fair market value" but some of CP's sales are on a rotation of sorts and keep coming back every few weeks. If something's "on sale" as much as it's not, what is it's actual value?

Perhaps throw out CP for price comparisons? It is such an outlier.

@cabaiguan juan

UPS finally caught up on scanning; I was starting to get worried that they lost the package or it's delivery was going to be delayed because it was stuck in a backlog of Cyber Monday/Holiday packages. It looks like it is still on-time and will be delivered tomorrow afternoon (allegedly noon to 3pm).

@all, FWIW, I looked up a value for all the current cigars, and then I padded it with another $100 and rounded up. Those calculations put the package at containing $1200 of smokes, which I insured on PirateShip for my shipment. (It was $1 per $100 of value). I meant to take photos or video of all the sticks to further support a very dreaded potential claim, but I realized after the fact that I forgot to do that.

This is a ridiculous Jon! Leave out the place that has the lowest prices on most everything. That's brilliant!

Everyone should check CP and Cigar Bid first. It does not matter what a person pays for a cigar, it's what they have been sold for on deals from cigar sites. I can't believe old timers have so much trouble passing anymore. We used to all do homework when in a pass. Now nobody says shit. And if someone does there is handkerchiefs and hurt feelings.

So are you saying that all of the sticks that Justin put in he got on CPage and Cbid? In the past, I have looked at 3-4 sites and used the average for value. No handkerchiefs or hurt feelings here, but this is really getting to be a pain in the ass. It’s supposed to be fun…

How did you get that out of me saying people should be looking for what a cigar sells for on the cheap sites?
Look at it this way Dennis. If I bought all my cigars here is California at my B&M's, all my puts would have a value well above all the same cigars others buy elsewhere. So... to make it fair for everyone... we use the discount pricing that is found online available to everyone. And yes... most people do not do as much shopping for deals as people like me that have the time to look for deals all the time. So... if a guy like me knows... we should post it and then it can be discussed so most are happy with the conclusion.
